How to prepare your inhalation?

  • Add the essential oils (EOs) in a bowl of simmering water placed carefully on a table.
  • Remove glasses or lenses if you wear them. Then, close your eyes (it is important to protect your eyes) and bend over the bowl, but not too close to the liquid to avoid scolding, with a towel on your head, in order to breathe in a maximum of vapour.
  • Keep your head under the towel for about ten minutes. If you feel uncomfortable stop the inhalation! It must always be a pleasant experience.
  • Repeat this operation three times a day

Inhalation of essential oils, what measures need to be taken when using them?

 
cautionBeware! Some EOs cannot be used in inhalation: those with a phenol base (cinnamon from Ceylon or China, cloves, thymol thyme… ) and also compact oregano, peppermint (except in a mixed batch), lemony litsee, lemongrass, lemon eucalyptus… the list is not exhaustive.
