Bakuchiol is a natural active ingredient. It comes from the seeds of Babchi (Psoralea corylifolia). This plant, endemic to the Himalayan region, has long been known in the Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia, where it is traditionally used to treat skin problems.
The active ingredient Bakuchiol is the only plant alternative both effective and non-irritating to retinol. Obtained by synthesis, retinol is widely used in dermo-cosmetics, both in anti-ageing products and in the treatment of acne.
