WHAT IS HELICHRYSUM HYDROLATE?
Helichrysum hydrolate, also known as Immortelle hydrolate, is a floral water obtained from the steam distillation of the Helichrysum plant (Helichrysum italicum). It is a gentle, non-alcoholic toner that contains water-soluble compounds and some of the volatile compounds found in the plant. Its rarity and low yield make it a very precious essential oil, just like its hydrolate. It has the same properties!
The powerful natural scent of Italian Helichrysum can please…or you may hate it!
PROPERTIES OF HELICHRYSUM HYDROLATE
-
-
- Anti-haematoma: it has been shown that the italidiones, largely present in the essential oil and in smaller quantities in the hydrolate, help to absorb bruises and haematomas after a shock, but also prevent their appearance.
- Circulatory: this hydrosol promotes circulation throughout the body and also has a slight vasoconstrictive action. It thus helps to relieve all small venous problems such as haemorrhoids, heavy legs, couperose, etc.
- Healing: it helps to reduce swollen scars, acne scars or post-operative scars.
- Anti-inflammatory: helps to calm skin inflammations, it acts as well on itching as on redness or inflammatory pain. The hydrolate is therefore ideal for irritated and damaged skin caused by eczema, psoriasis, but also acne.
- Purifying: facilitates the elimination of toxins from the body.
- Anti-oxidant: this flower helps to fight against skin ageing. Indeed, it has been proven that Italian Helichrysum has a significant effect on the prevention of skin wrinkles.
- Mucolytic: thanks to the presence of eucalyptol, it helps to liquefy the mucus in the respiratory tract.
