Properties of the lice essential oils

Lavandin essential oil: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and skin healing, restorative and soothing, anti-lice repellent. Its high concentration of linalool exerts a parasiticidal action to inhibit the development of lice, thus causing their death. The presence of a large amount of camphor allows the eradication of lice without attacking the scalp of children

For prevention of lice, you can also use it on its own: 1 or 2 drops of lavandin EO on the child’s neck and shirt collar every morning, before leaving for school for example. In addition, add 25 drops in 200 ml of neutral shampoo (for the whole family, in times of lice infestation) and wash the head in the evening, during the risk period.

Tea tree essential oil: powerful antiparasitic (thanks to its composition in monoterpene alcohol and monoterpenes), while having a very good skin tolerance. The Terpinen-4-ol gives its effectiveness against parasites such as lice, scabies, ringworm… Like Lavandin essential oil, tea tree essential oil will alter the cell membranes and intracellular constituents of lice and then cause their death thanks to this shared action.

Eucalyptus essential oil: this essential oil is present in the pack for its parasiticidal action thanks to its molecules alpha-terpineol and alpha-pinene. These are intended to destroy lice even at low doses. In addition, they will have a repellent action which will be very interesting for prevention during periods of risk. With the Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil in the synergy, there’s no chance for lice to survive or return to the heads of your toddlers!

When the head is infested: pour 5 drops of the mixture 2 times a day on the scalp. Leave on for 10 minutes and then wash the hair with a mild shampoo. Repeat the operation for 3 consecutive days. Renew 8-15 days later at the latest (time that nits give lice).
